Following a destructive hurricane season, this family friendly destination situated on one of Florida’s barrier islands was faced with a major cleanup. Revitalization efforts revealed a perfect complement to nature’s beauty already in existence along the gulf coast shoreline.

Challenges/Opportunities

Significant storm damage. After an extensive cleanup effort, the area was graded and new plants were introduced, bringing new life to this beachfront oasis.

Dune stabilization. Sea oats were reintroduced to the dunes to help rebalance the ecosystem.
